Introduction

Hello! My name is Levente Szabó, I’m the General Manager and Lead Instructor of Alpindustry WRS Kft. I got into the rope access technology as a child by my parents, who regularly went to climbing on the rock walls nearby to Miskoc, my home town and to the Slovak and Polish Tatras. At the age of 16, I started to deal with rock climbing, though at that time I was only interested in this area in hobby level. I wouldn't have thought I'd deal with rope access int he future, but the hobby became passion for me and I decided to develope my skills to professional level. From 2000 I’m constantly working in the rope access insustry. In the beginning I started as assisstant trainer and from 2002 I work independently as Lead Instructor. In the last 18 years I ’ve gained experiance in education, how to communicate effectively to people, and as a team leader how to give them instructions to carry out work. My goal is to provide rope acess training courses that provides practicable knowledge, in the possible best mood with the available best equipments.

Introduction

I was born in Miskolc in 1989. I met with rope acess technology, first in 2010, at the Cave Training of the Tolerance Cave Research Association. In that year, I took part in a basic industrial alpinist training organized by Alpindustry WRS Kft, with the aim of developing my rope access skills. I did not plan to work in this area, but I saw the opportunity in this industry and the atmospher I experianced – especially during rope access trainings organized by Alpindustry WRS Kft - took hold on me. Then the first work came, and things were finally sealed with "IRATA".I became an assistant trainer and later Instructor and safety officer. In addition to education – which is more than a job from the beginning - I gained the greatest skill in welding and steelwork assembly. During my work so far, I was lucky to work in several countries in Europe, North America and East Asia. And I am able to come to work by bike even in the worst weather conditions. :)

We provide our technical trainings primarily at our training center in Miskolc. Our well-established training base is unique in Hungary, and - according to the feedback - worldwide too. It is well-suited for work at height and industrial rope access trainings; for practicing industrial and special rescue methods; and to learn how to use personal protective equipments.

During the courses we can provide complete equipment and protective equipment for nearly 30 people. The protective equipment provided in the courses are constantly developed in accordance with the technological and safety standards of the time. When selecting devices, we take into consideration the range of products of our suppliers, so we can ensure that course participants learn how to use personal protective equipments that they will surly use during their work. We only teach the use of products from manufacturing companies that offer a comprehensive range and excellent quality on both the Hungarian and international markets.

Accordingly, course participants will be introduced to the wide range of products from Petzl, Beal, Edelrid, Singing Rock, CAMP, Climbing Technology, Ocum and CADO. We installed various vertical and horizontal life line systems in many places in the training room, which are an essential part of the advanced technology knowledge of working at a height. Installed fall arrest systems in the training centre are provided by FALLPROTEC and their well-prepared installation team.

In the training centre - because of it’s nature – we are capable of simulating the special circumstances in many field of applications, like:

  • urban and industrial featured alpine technique environment
  • simulated environment of working in confined space
  • simulated environment of working on steel structure and towers
  • appropriate site for sport climbing wall operation
  • suitable enviroment to carry out special rescue simulation like rescue from ski lift, and dog aided search sites

We can provide different off-site locations in order to better acquire rope techniques and methods that are used for tree care, wood-cutting and rock climbing.

We strive to organize our services to a high standard, which is guaranteed by the introduction of quality assurance systems.

The ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Assurance System comprehensively guarantees the quality of service organization and delivery.

The international adequacy of our industrial rope access training is guaranteed by the IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association).

Our technology courses complying with Hungarian labor safety legislation and they are organized under the professional supervision of the MIAOE (Hungarian Association of Industrial Alpine Technology Instructors).

The quality and adequacy of our training for our mobile communications partners is assured by training accreditation audited by Vodafone.
